SETH (Ships Emissions Treatment in Harbours)

The SETH project was born with the aim of remedying the growing atmospheric contamination that ships bring to port cities and, at the same time, to enforce the legal limits on emissions.

 

The growing air pollution linked to maritime traffic in port cities is forcing local administrations to seek new, increasingly efficient and advantageous solutions. For a city like Trieste, which is the most important port in Italy for freight traffic thanks to its strategic position, the problem of pollution is increasingly felt, especially in view of its future expansion.
